IDC

Finished staffing my first IDC as a qualified IDCS. It was hard work, but 14 hour days of diving chat are definitely preferable to 8 hours a day of project work.

Things I learned:
1. Some dive centres don't give a toss about the development of the people they take on to do the divemaster.
2. Some peoples' basic dive skills are pants.
3. Sometimes being all friendly and approachable is not the way to get the best out of people. Need to keep a close eye on Mr Murray for lessons in tactical name calling and verbal abuse!
4. People who look completely lost 2 days before a big event can really pull it out the bag!
